Possibly, the only soaf in New England. A soaf is a rug with a flat-woven foundation like a kilim, but with raised motifs woven atop the foundation resulting in a woven relief. This Kashan soaf happens to be woven of qouark, the soft wool of lambs. Noor sent this woven treasure to Iran for two years to be restored, and it is now beautifully rejuvenated.
